Great Plains Tribes

The Great Plains is a broad expanse of prairie that extends from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains, and from the northern half of Texas halfway up through Alberta. The plains are home to many Indian tribes who hunt the great buffalo herds for survival. The largest Plains Indian tribes are:
